Sweet Pea, Diane Von Furstenberg, Worth–they all make tanks and tees! It’s going to be in the 90’s this week–so we’re going to be looking for something cool to wear. Tanks and camis are great–but there is a knack to wearing them and layering if you are a grown up. Thin, close fitting camis or tanks are best for the first layer–usually longer than the second tank. We don’t want to look heavier–we’re aiming for sleek. Remember, darker colors make things recede, so if you are top heavy–make your tops darker than your bottoms.
The second layer should be a light weight fabric too. If you are fortunate enough to have no extra weight, the second top can be as close fitting as the first. If you are like most of us, you want a little camouflage. The second layer should be slightly fitted and maybe a little shorter than the first. Hips will look slimmer, and torso a little longer. This is good.
Practice a little bit, before you go to bed. Once you find the formula that works for you–it will be simple. Simple is always good. You could ask your daughter…she might be flattered. A bonding moment!
Well–give it a try. Take care and keep smiling…Brenda and Maggie
