Brenda’s closet. Day 26

Tomorrow is Groundhog Day when Punxsutawney Phil will decide the fate of our season!  Will we still be dressing for grey cold days or will we be frantically searching for warm weather clothing?   This could be good (if you’re a skier) or bad (if you hate the cold)!  Either way, you need to dress for the cold weather for a bit longer.

Tired of wearing wintry winter clothes? Start mixing in more color with scarves, pastel cashmere sweaters or vibrant jewelry. Try wearing shorter boots on days when there is no snow-oddly it does make it feel a little more like spring!

Cold mornings and sunny warm afternoons can make knowing what to wear quite the project. When the weather changes daily you should consider wearing layers. Perhaps a camisole under a crisp white collared blouse, under a fun argyle cardigan, under a toasty wool duffel coat with a brightly colored scarf.   Another nice alternative to warm trousers are leggings or wool blend  stockings.  Both can be matched with tunic tops, borderline unseasonal dresses (that we still love and want to wear at this very moment!) or even short playful skirts.

The good news is that you aren’t the only one having this problem!  At the Closet Exchange we like to sell current season, rather than making you purchase things that need to be stowed away til the right season.

You’ll make it! Take care- Brenda & Maggie
