Still lots of great treasures and “last chance” items at all three stores!  Plus–the spring goodies are really coming in!  Call a friend, go for coffee, and come see us–it will make a dreary day better. You can find an accent for your house, a $10.00 pair of  jeans, and a new spring sweater at 70% off the retail price!  What could be better?

Remember, we put  between 100 and 150 new pieces of merchandise every day!  Our first markdown is 50 % off our price–and there are always markdowns.  We like our merchandise to be fresh and exciting –we never want you to see the same things for three months.

As I said yesterday–something fun is coming!  It’s almost here.  In fact, it starts tomorrow, Friday, February 26 and continues through Sunday, February 28!

It’s our Spring Cleaning and Clear-out Sale!  We have so much stuff!  We’ve emptied the attic, basement, closets and cupboards of all the odds and ends we no longer need.  We have store props, mirrors, pictures, lamps, holiday trim, books, candlesticks, quilts, all kinds of goodies!  They will be on sale at all three stores.

We also have “Last Chance” clothes, shoes and purses at each store!!!  The clearance items will be spread through all three stores–so visit each one, or you’ll miss a prize!  As always, there are 50% to 70% markdowns at each store.

And–the spring merchandise has been arriving!  It’s all so pretty–it will lift your spirits.  So stop by, you could find a new goodie for your house and a new top for yourself! 

All this rain brings May flowers–it’s a good thing.

We mentioned a couple of consignment shops last week, and in the meantime, stopped by the Closet Exchange, a trio of consignment stores in Needham. A high-end arm features Chanel, Dior, and Burberry, among others; a “Best of the Mall’’ store has J.Crew, Banana Republic, and the like; a “Last Chance’’ store has items marked down at least 50 percent. On our visit, finds at the “Last Chance’’ store included an adorable Gap gray baby doll dress for $15 and a new-with-tags Ann Taylor embroidered skirt for $16.50 (retail price: $108). The mall store had DKNY, Lucky Brand, and Christopher Blue jeans for around $28-$44 and a nice selection of jackets and blazers. The Closet Exchange is at 906, 925, and 931 Great Plain Ave., Needham. If you are thinking of going to the mall today to shop their sales, you might want to reconsider.  Retail stores are hurting, so they bring in merchandise that they can sell at greatly reduced prices.  Often, this merchandise is just that–stuff that they can sell cheap.  This would be items that you would not normally buy–damaged, shopworn, poorly  made or ugly.  They’re hoping that you’ll get caught up in a buying frenzy.

Valentine’s Day is Sunday–you might want  to start thinking about dropping hints for yourself or finding a gift for someone special.  We have wonderful jewelry and accessories at all our stores–and we offer gift cards in any amount (good forever).  Gift cards are available at the 906 store–it only takes a minute!

We’re starting our spring cleaning—hmmmm.  This could mean another special event–give me a couple of days to work on it.
